In line with PKU’s work plan for COVID-19 prevention and control and in response to the spirit of “continuous learning in spite of class suspension”, the Center for Excellent Teaching and Learning (CETL) actively cooperated with PKU’s adjusted teaching schedule for this spring. Accordingly, all staff at CETL ended their vacation and started immediately to provide technical support and services for online instructions and public resources.
To address the issue that some students are unable to return to school and avoid gathering of crowds to attend classes, the Center for Excellent Teaching and Learning provides convenient online teaching services on Teaching and Learning@PKU, where teachers can use ClassIn, an integrated tool, after logging into the platform to create a live streaming classroom and start online teaching by the normal schedule.
The Center for Excellent Teaching and Learning will provide faculty and students at PKU with video-on-demand media resource services through the new PKU Media Resource Service Platform (http://resource.pku.edu.cn). Besides, the platform will promptly select relevant resources and recommend a number of PKU lectures, high-quality courses and video courses taught by award-winning teachers, so as to facilitate on-demand online learning for faculty and students at PKU, provide reference for teachers in class preparation, and help the students expand specialized knowledge through independent learning.
