With the rapid development of information technology, informatized teaching has found expansive application nowadays. The high-quality free online open course resources, powerful teaching management platforms, and easy-to-use multimedia tools provide a variety of teaching methods. So, what are the advantages of informatized teaching? What are the ways and means of using information technology to promote education outcomes? This lecture will be given by Professor Li Xiaoming from the School of Electronics Engineering and Computer Science and Associate Professor Shang Junjie from the School of Education. They will share their knowledge and practical methods of informatized teaching using their many years of teaching experience.

The PKU Training Program for Young Teachers is jointly organized by the Personnel Department and the Center for Excellent Teaching and Learning. It has been launched from the fall semester of 2016. A series of teaching training courses or events will be offered for the young teachers. There are four modules and 96 credits to finish within three years. In the 2016-2017 academic year and the 2017-2018 academic year, two rounds of training have been successfully concluded. This course is the first lecture of Module 3 “Informatized Teaching” in the third round of training program. Teachers who have been newly recruited since September 1, 2015 and have not participated in this lecture and other teachers who are interested in it are welcome to participate in the event. This lecture gives 4 credits.
