Experts’ comments

The Contest on Innovative Teaching and Learning at Peking University, formerly known as the Multimedia Courseware and Online Course Contest, has been held for eight years in a row. In 2019, the contest was included as an important part of the newly launched educational reform program “New Thoughts on Teaching 2.0”, representing the continuation and a transformed version of the previous courseware contest. In addition to the approved entry projects, a campus-wide call was launched for entries on courseware, micro-courses, online courses, and case studies.

The aim of the contest is to promote teaching development, research and innovation, set exemplary models of disciplinary application and encourage innovative practices.

The outstanding entries will be recommended to the National Teaching Innovation Contest for College Teachers, the National Innovation Contest of Blended Teaching Design for Colleges, the Micro-Course Contest of Foreign Languages in China, and the National Universities Micro-Teaching Competition (for medical sciences). The contest achieved the expected results and concluded with complete success.
