Sun HuaProfessor & Ph.D
Prof. Sun Hua is the Director of Center for Excellent Teaching and Learning of Peking University, and the Director of China Center for Edgar Snow Studies. His previous experience includes the Chief Editor of Peking University TV Station for 6 years, the Student Affairs Administrator in School of Journalism and Communication of PKU for 10 years, the Deputy Director in Office of Planning and Policy Research of PKU for 2 years, the Deputy Director in Office of Education Administration of PKU for 5 years, Executive Dean of Yuanpei College of Peking University for 5 years.
The Center for Excellent Teaching and Learning was established in 2015. On the basis of effective training of new teachers and teaching assistants, the center initiated to construct an overall system for improving and developing the teaching ability of faculty in PKU. The center sets up a supportive service platform for teaching environment and resources construction, exploring a mechanism that promotes teaching reform and innovations through academic research.
Prof. Sun Hua has developed his research in Pedagogy and Cross-Culture communication. He started with his study on Edgar Snow studies when he got his Ph.D. degree in School of International Studies of PKU. In 1993, China Center for Edgar Snow Studies was established at Peking University. It is an important institute for the research, compilation and publication on Edgar Snow's works, carrying Edgar Snow's spiritual legacy forward to future generations. As the Director of China Center for Edgar Snow Studies, Sun Hua has successfully staged several international symposiums on Edgar Snow with a number of high-quality academic papers and books published.
He ShanAssociate Researcher
Mr. He Shan is Vice Director of Center for Excellent Teaching and Learning, Peking University. He is also the Secretary General of Higher University Collaboration Committee and member of Executive Committee of the Technical Standards in China Association For Educational Technology.
His research interests include education management, educational technology, and intelligent science and technology. Since 2010, he has been responsible for the construction, operation and maintenance of multimedia classrooms in the university. He has presided over and participated in the formulation of national construction standards for multimedia teaching environment and electronic examination room. He has won “Beijing Teaching Achievement Award” and “Peking University Teaching Achievement Award” for many times.
Cai JingyiResearcher
Ms. Cai Jingyi is Vice Director of Center for Excellent Teaching and Learning, Peking University. She is also the Vice Group Leader of Comprehensive University Medical Education Group of Medical Education Committee in China Association of Higher Education, and Vice President of the 6th Council of Beijing Association for Medical Education.
Ms. Cai has been engaged in medical education management for more than 20 years and is familiar with the discipline development of undergraduate medical education, teaching operation management, teachers’ development and education evaluation in colleges and universities. She has fully participated in the formulation and revision of Undergraduate Medical Education Standards - Clinical Medicine and Guidelines for Professional Certification of Clinical Medicine. As a clinical medicine expert certified by Ministry of Education, she has participated in the review and on-site inspection of certification applications for clinical medicine in many universities. Ms. Cai has participated and completed a number of projects concerning teaching reform research, and has won one first prize and one second prize of Beijing Teaching Achievement Award, and one first prize of National Teaching Achievement Award.
Wang ShengqingSenior engineer
Ms. Wang is Director of the Office of Educational Technology Research and Application, and an expert in Training Program for Young Teachers in Peking University. She is currently mainly engaged in teacher teaching ability training and online education research. Her main research directions: MOOCs, learning analysis, and teacher training. She has won the first prize of 2017 Beijing Higher Education Teaching Achievement Award, 2017 Outstanding Project Award of Research Center for Online Education in Ministry of Education, and 2017 grand prize of Peking University Teaching Achievement Award.

Ms. Wang is Director of the Office of New Technology Research and Development and is mainly engaged in informatized teaching (responsible for Teaching and Learning @ PKU, quality course, open class, courseware contest, micro-lessons competition) and teaching research (responsible for standardization construction of online course, contest research, new ideas in teaching, knowledge base of subjects). She has won the first prize of Peking University Teaching Achievement Award in 2017 and 2009, prize of Peking University Experimental Technology Achievement Award in 2013 and 2015, and 2014 Peking University Laboratory Advanced Individual Award. She has won the Organization Award and Advanced Individual of National Multimedia Courseware Contest and National Micro-Lesson Contest for many times.

Yan FengqiaoProfessor & Doctoral Supervisor
Yan is Director of the Peking University Education Research Center and Dean and Secretary of the CPC Committee of the Graduate School of Education, Peking University. His research areas are mainly higher education management, educational organizations and systems, private higher education, and academic professions. He has led many research projects funded by the World Bank, the Ford Foundation and the National Educational Science Planning. His published works include a monograph entitled University Organization and Governance, and many articles in Chinese and English on specialized core journals such as Educational Research. Besides, he has also participated in the editing and translation of a number of publications.
